Harold 'looked' at himself for the first time since arriving and found a strong blue form that vaguely resembled a male humanoid. He could barely 'see' through his body but noticed that it was slowly fading, the transparency becoming clearer after a few seconds until it was like stained glass.

"That form of yours is your soul and the longer you stay here, the quicker it will fade into the Void.
Mortal souls used to just float through time and space until my 'Uncle' convinced the Creators to form the Afterlife.
This is the first realm of that dimension, where you shall decide whether to fade into nothingness, try to reincarnate, or go to the Afterlife."

"That raises so many more questions, but what of my memories?"

"During his time amongst your kind, my 'Uncle' noticed that you mortals tend to become traumatized quite easily, so to mitigate the repurcussions of dying, he made the Void a clean slate for every mortal who shall enter so that your souls would not deteriorate faster than intended.
If you choose to fade, you may do so with or without your memories.
If you try your hand at reincarnation, only muscle memory will be returned to you, to help throughout the trials.
Choosing the Afterlife will allow your memories to be returned slowly so that you may acclimate as to not damage your soul."

No matter how hard he tried, Harold could not remember the personal aspects of his life. Only general information of the world he hailed from, which is how he remembered the name Satan and the idea of religion.
